Polly's working life has been as a nurse and teacher and, now in retirement, she can continue her passion for lino printmaking. Many years ago an exhibition of prints sparked a keen interest followed by a opportunity to join a three day summer school course with a renowned artist and printmaker Richard Bawden. It was so inspiring that she continued to enjoy the same course for many years.
At the same time she has worked in her garage studio at home trying to capture memories of gardens, places and fond moments in her linocuts. Work has been displayed in various galleries and open exhibitions. She is a member of Artempo, Retford and Lincoln Art Societies, Sheffield Printmakers and enjoys taking part in Notts Open Studios.
