I joined the society in 2004 after retiring from work overseas. As far as art is concerned, I am a novice, but I am interested in learning and experimenting with various forms of art. Being a member of the society I get support, advice and encouragement in my efforts from a variety of people and learn a great deal from workshops and demonstrations. I became the chairman of the society in 2005 but my role is strictly as an administrator and not as an inspirational artist; I leave that to other capable members of the society.
